After graduating from Cornell Law School and clerking for the Supreme Court of New Jersey, I spent 16 years as a Big Law attorney, practicing in New York and Philadelphia. My roles have ranged from Manhattan associate to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at a global bank in D.C. to law firm Of Counsel and Partner in Maryland.
Now as a legal recruiter and career coach, I am dedicated to empowering attorneys of color to thrive in today’s competitive legal environment.
I practiced law when "DEI" was not popular and I understand firsthand the unique challenges attorneys face, particularly those navigating systemic bias and the complexities of predominantly white spaces.
Through my coaching and recruiting services, I focus on helping attorneys build careers that are not just successful, but aligned with their values and long-term goals.
Whether you're looking a midlevel associate looking for strategies to navigate your cor a partner looking to sell your legal and business skillsets, I offer a personalized legal recruiting experience, helping top-tier candidates connect with firms and organizations that align with their skills and aspirations. I also share my insights and experiences in my book, Brown Skin Lawyers: Lessons in Power, Purpose, and Belonging for Attorneys of Color, which provides a roadmap for navigating the legal profession while staying true to yourself.
Whether you’re seeking guidance in your legal career, exploring coaching options, or interested in recruitment opportunities, I’m here to help you succeed in an environment that wasn’t built with you in mind.
I take a collaborative and solution-focused approach to coaching. By working together, we can identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and create a plan of action to help you achieve your goals.
I specialize in helping clients with career development, business development and job transitions.
